We started the year with Kids’ Church only meeting on Zoom. At the end of March we were able to restart meeting in the building, but with younger children one week and older children the next week. For Easter we gave every church child an Easter egg and a book.

In June we were able to move to having all primary school aged children every week, and with more children coming back to the building numbers on the Zoom call fell to just a handful. After about a year and a half we stopped the Kids’ Church Zoom call in September.

For teaching we, were in year 2 and 3 of our 4 year programme. We started the year looking at the seven signs in John's Gospel which prove that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. We then looked at the Sermon on the Mount followed by exploring mission in the Bible in the life of Paul. After that we went back to the Old Testament and went from Joshua to David looking at some Judges, Ruth, Samuel and King Saul on the way.

It was great to be able to have a Nativity in person again although it was tricky given the patchy attendance due to lots of bugs going around. Give thanks that we were able to see children in person again, and please pray we would see more constant attendance among some of the children and that we would be able to recruit and train up some new leaders for Kids’ Church.

We’re also very grateful to those who help with Creche / Roots, including teaching simple Bible stories.
