This is a little book that packs a big punch, right in the faith. It is very real, very exhortative and very foundational. Based on an exposition of Matthew 8 and the calming of the storm, Jonathan Stephen applies it in a very straightforward and helpful way.
The central premise of the book is that we need to replace fear with faith in Jesus Christ and that our faith must be growing and expulsive when storms arise in our lives.
I enjoyed the story of John Newton and the many illustrative anecdotes dotted throughout 46 pages. The particular take away for me was the explanation of the mustard seed faith which I had never seen before and his highlighting the order of events once Jesus has been awakened by the panicked disciples.
This is a great little book to encourage, challenge and catalyse steadfast faith in the Lord Jesus no matter what comes against the believer.
