Shows worth visiting at Festival time

With so much going on in Edinburgh this month, it's difficult to decide what's good and what's not.  Here are a few events we think will be worth visiting.

There is Hope
Carrubbers Christian Centre, 13-18 August 8-10:30pm

Legacy - The story of Martin Luther
Palmerston Place Church, 14-17 August at 7:30pm and 18 August at 2:30pm

Saltmine Theatre Company dramatises the struggles of Martin Luther as he comes to realise that salvation is through faith in Christ alone.  Tickets £10 here (concessions £8).


The Screwtape Letters
Palmerston Place Church, 22-24 August at 7:15pm and 25 August at 7:15pm

The Searchlight Theatre Company brings a dramatised version of the C S Lewis classic.  Tickets £11 here (concessions £9; reduced rates for families).


Foot-Stomping Gospel
Carrubbers Christian Centre, 22-25 August at 8pm

A concert of Gospel songs by Origin Scotland.  Free entry, pay what you feel it's worth on exit.
